Zizek is a Slovenian sociologist who trained as a Lacanian and uses Lacan to analyse popular culture and politics. He has been at the forefront of philosophical, political and cultural debate for more than a decade, and he is known for his theories on a range of subjects including globalisation, cyberspace, film, music and opera.
His work continues to provoke controversy and to transform the way we think about these and other issues.
