Kırık Aynalar - Broken Mirrors
- ÜRÜNÜN BULUNDUĞU ŞUBELERİMİZ
Truly, the metaphor of the mirror was a symbol frequently used in 17th century paintings. Our exhibition here is documentary rather than artistic. We are deailing with an issue related to Ottoman geography: this is history but also geopraphy; we listen to their voices, we see their faces. What we see are men and landscapes; but these landscapes; but these landscapes seem to stand still in geopraphy, and even men's faces and voices seem to stand perform as a superficial geopraphy or as a superficial architecture. We look for traces of pyscho-geopraphy in pictures and films; actually, even objects talk to each other; images and recordings on their surfaces are their own expression even though implicit.
